Residential and Maintenance Program (RAMP)
Purpose
To help qualified home owners maintain their properties who otherwise can not afford to do so by providing them with assistance.
Program
There are many long time Sun City residents who only have Social Security or other limited retirement resources on which to live. Since cost of living has increased at a rate faster than Social Security and/or fixed income pensions, these residents may not have the financial means to maintain their property despite their best intentions.
The Residential and Maintenance Program is designed to help bring the properties of these less financially fortunate neighbors into compliance through monetary donations and through volunteers who contribute their time and services (typically, 4 to 6 hours every other month). Residents can apply for assistance through SCHOA and requesting an application form.
If an applicant meets the requirements, SCHOA will go to their homes and help with exterior maintenance and clean up. Note, however, that a person who is over extended financially due to excessive frivolous credit card debt or an overly extravagant lifestyle will most likely not qualify.
Volunteers and Donations
SCHOA is always looking for volunteers and for donations to help others. If you would like to volunteer your time and/or you would like to make a donation of any amount to this very worthwhile cause, please contact SCHOA at 623-974-4718. Your time and/or financial contributions are very greatly appreciated.
