Please note that a Temporary Use Permit may only be granted for a maximum of 2 years The case with the County is to allow a temporary exception for one residence due to a senior citizen zoning overlay that is in place over Sun City (please refer to Section 1006 of the Maricopa County Zoning Ordinance). The County zoning ordinance allows for applications for temporary underage occupation for areas with a senior citizen overlay (Article 1302.2.3).

TEMPORARY USE PERMIT APPLICATION
TU2022020 – Request for Under Age Occupancy in an Age Restricted Area

Posting Period & Issuance of Permit – 10 days
The Temporary Use Permit application will be posted for 10 days from the posted date listed on the poster within which time a Notice of Appeal may be filed with Maricopa County Planning and Development. If an appeal is not received within the 10 day posting period, this Temporary Use Permit will be issued.
Notice of Appeal (Objection or Protest)
Any person wishing to object or protest said request may do so by filing a written protest with the Maricopa County Planning and Development, 301 W. Jefferson St., 1st Floor, Suite 170 Phoenix, AZ 85003, or by email at https://apps.pnd.maricopa.gov/contact/ within ten (10) days of the posted date noted below. If an Notice of Appeal is received within the 10 day posting period this Temporary Use Permit application will be placed on the HEARING: June 23, 2022 Board of Adjustment agenda for consideration. The Board of Adjustment meetings begins at 10:00 a.m. and is held in the Board of Supervisors Auditorium at 205 W. Jefferson, Phoenix, AZ 85003
