Day of Service

The 2027 Day of Service is Friday, March 19

The Day of Service held on Friday, March 27, was the biggest one yet!

This Day of Service, our third since our Compliance Manager Kristine Schmitz launched the program in late 2024, has helped to clean 39 Sun City properties including 14 on Friday.

This year, we had more volunteers than ever, as many groups formed teams, their hearts eager to support the cause. More than 200 volunteers – up more than 100 since our first event – pulled weeds, trimmed bushes, and helped out neighbors who could not physically and financially get the work done themselves.

Ten SCHOA Business Partners generously sponsored supplies or their services to help support the hundreds of community volunteers. Other businesses formed their own community teams, alongside several community groups, and multiple Sun City clubs.

“Every Day of Service gets better than the next,” Schmitz said. “The homeowners are always truly appreciative of the massive effort they see transform their property in just one morning. The entire community notices a difference that everyone who helped in any way, made during this effort. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for coming together on this one day where we show our community that we care.”

Could not attend but want to support our ongoing efforts?  Consider donating to the SCHOA Foundation and the RAMP program.  This program is for members of our community who are unable physically and/or financially to maintain their property up to community standards.
