Gleason Roofing     |     JUNK KING     |    RENEWED LIFE PROPERTIES

We’d like to thank everyone who participated in SCHOA’s Second Annual Merry & Bright Christmas Lights Contest! We had 52 homeowners who registered as contestants.

Over the holiday season, we handed out hundreds of paper maps, had more than 3,650 digital tours taken, and 1,026 people voted online for the Whoville Community Favorite Awards!

Additional prizes were awarded by a panel of Official Judges from the community who toured and rated from among our four categories: Griswold (Lights, Lights and More Lights!), the Go Big or Go Home (Best Use of Inflatables), the Gingerbread (Best Homemade Decorations), and the Small but Sparkly (Porches and Condos) categories.

A special thank you to our Judges who volunteered to drive through the community checking out all the contestants, and in some cases even spent multiple evenings to view all the homes. Also, thank you to our Sponsors: Gleason General Construction LLC, Junk King, Renewed Life Properties, Maryann D. Goldrick with Coldwell Banker Realty and Karen Good with The Goods Insurance Group – who are all part of our vetted Business Partners Program.

We enjoyed each and every home. Congratulations to all the winners!

Seeing our community come together brought the quote by the Grinch to mind… “Maybe Christmas,’ he thought, ‘doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas … perhaps … means a little bit more!” Until next year, keep spreading that Christmas cheer!
